Our terminals and other facilities at Sydney Airport are changing in early 2020 due to the airport infrastructure upgrades being undertaken by the Sydney Airport Corporation Ltd (SACL). Facilites which are impacted include the airside area used to store empty ULDs. This space is being reduced significantly to cater for the airport developments.
As a result, we’ve been reviewing our operation in order to optimise the remaining storage space available to Qantas Freight and minimise wait times at our terminals.
From 6 January 2020, airside access to the container park precinct will no longer be available to customers and those wanting to drop off or collect empty ULDs on weekdays (Mon-Fri) will need to contact Qantas Freight on (02) 9691 6051 between 0700 and 1100 to be allocated a time slot.
Have this information handy:
- Planned time of arrival to Terminal 1
- Service required (pick up or drop off)
- Quantity and type of ULDs
- Airline owner of ULD
Weekend drop off and collection will not require pre-booking.
Any drivers arriving without a booking will need to wait until all pre-bookings have been processed, so it’s important to make a booking before you arrive at the terminal.
Please remind your drivers that drop off and collection of all empty ULDs will be at Qantas Freight Terminal 1, Sydney Container Park, 1 Link Road, Mascot NSW 2020.
