Qantas Rate Sheet Conditions of Use

Cut off for cargo acceptance at JNB QF facility on day of departure - 10h30.

Definitions

1.1

"agent" means, except when the context otherwise requires, any person who has authority, express or implied, to act for or on behalf of carrier in relation to the carriage of cargo.

1.2

"cargo" (which is equivalent to the term "goods"), means anything carried or to be carried in an aircraft except mail, or baggage carried under a passenger ticket and baggage check, but includes baggage moving under an air waybill or shipment record.

1.3

"carriage" means carriage of cargo by air or by another means of transport, whether gratuitously or for reward.

1.4

"carrier" includes the air carrier issuing the air waybill or preserving the shipment record and each of the carriers that carry or undertake to carry cargo or to perform any other services related to such air carriage, as the context requires.

1.5

"dangerous goods" means cargo or substances of which cargo are comprised which are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment and fall within one or more of the International Civil Aviation Organization classifications of dangerous goods or are otherwise liable to cause damage to any person or property whatsoever.

Rates and AWB

Rates 2.1

Rates are subject to change and withdrawn without notice. All previous rate notices are cancelled and are superseded by these rates. 

Rates are applicable for general cargo on a pre-paid basis and are net/net unless specified.

*Pacific Island rates are based on NB aircraft, WB aircraft rates are available on request.

AWB charges are based on the flight date and not AWB executed date so applicable rates are as per the date of uplift of shipment.

ULD rates 2.2 ULD rates obtainable from your local QF office.
Exchange rates 2.3

Unless stated, rates quoted are in USD per chargeable kilogram and inclusive of surcharges but excluding charges in this T&Cs and handling fees.

Exchange rates are based on the IATA monthly exchange rates.

Conditions of carriage 2.4

Refer to the attached conditions for Qantas and Jetstar conditions of carriage available at qantasfreight.com.

Some sectors may be operated by narrowbody aircraft. Max piece weight = 32kgs.

Some sectors may be operated by Jetstar (JQ) or Road Feeder Services (RFS).

No AWB stating "As Agreed" or NIL Rate shown will be accepted for carriage.

Live Animals (AVI)

Animal transit

3.1

AKL and CHC QGO PET product will be subject to a US$ 40.00 AVI Transit Application Fee for every application processed (if application received has errors new application will be charged for).

3.2

Should we deem that a kennel is not adequate for the comfort of the animal, the shipment will subsequently be rejected and rebooked to the FIRAV flight (Whenever that may be) and QF will not be held liable for any costs as a result of delays. 

3.3

Cut-Off for all AVI ~ 12h00 on the day of departure.

Special Commodities and Special Handling Codes

Special handling

4.1

For HUM/VAL/VUN/DGR shipment, please select applicable rates under QGO Express and relevant Commodity Code.

CC' shipments where agreed will be rated at full TACT.

Checklist Fees and Terminal Handling Charges

 

Surcharges

5.1

RAC (Dangerous Goods Fee) is charged at USD 60.60 per AWB. Amount to be shown in the OCDC box on the air waybill.

Un-declared DG Fee is charged at USD76.10 per shipment. Dangerous Goods re-check fee is charged at USD 30.00 per shipment.

ELI (Lithium-Ion Check Fee) is charged at USD 30.00. Amount to be shown in the OCDC box on the air waybill.

AVI check fee is charged at USD 50.00 per AWB. Amount to be shown in the OCDC box on the air waybill.

Perishable check fee is charged at USD 20.00 per AWB. Amount to be shown in the OCDC box on the air waybill.

Air waybill fee is charged at USD 6.00 per AWB.

Screening fee for non-regulated agents is charged at USD 0.05 p/kg minimum USD 5.00.

Additional surcharges

5.2

POD (Proof of Delivery) Request fee is charged at USD 15.00 per shipment.

Air Waybill copy request fee is charged at USD 15.00 per AWB.

A Charges Correction Advise (CCA) fee of USD 90.00 will be levied for incorrectly rated AWBs requiring correction as well as to billing corrections, weight discrepancies and duplicated AWBs.

Automated Manifest System (AMS) fee of USD 4.50 per MAWB is applicable to the USA, South America and Japan and the charges are to be updated under due carrier.

No Show and Cancellation Fees

No show and cancellation charges 

6.1

Please note the below No-Show and Cancellation Process will be applicable for all shipments exceeding 1000KG (Not Applicable for AVI).

Charge will be calculated on booked Chargeable Weight x Applicable Corresponding Rate.

  • Day of Departure = 100% of Applicable Charge
  • 24 - 48 Hours Prior to Departure = 50% of Applicable Charge
  • 48 - 72 Hours Prior to Departure = 25% of Applicable Charge
  • +72 Hours Prior to Departure = No Charge

Interline Terms and Conditions

Road feeder services

7.1

Rates are only available on Swissport RFS.

The Rates including RFS are only applicable for shipments below 7,000kgs.

VAL, VUN, AVI, PES, PEF, HUM or Temp Control is NOT Permitted on RF Sectors.

Class 1 and 7 are not Permitted to travel by Road.

Trucks only operate based on sufficient loads.
