Tracking freight across continents

Tracking freight in real time

Staying in control of freight is easier than ever with the latest digital tracking technology, delivering real-time visibility, faster processing, and greater confidence at every step.

Track and Trace is already making a difference at our major ports across Australia, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, as well as in Los Angeles, USA.

We’ll soon be introducing the smart technology to more ports, with phased rollouts planned for Hobart, followed by Launceston, Townsville, Rockhampton and Mackay.

Leveraging advanced scanning technology, Track and Trace provides a holistic view of the shipment on one easy-to-use device, allowing our terminal team to process freight digitally to deliver faster and safer servicing and better tracking capabilities, resulting in a faster, more efficient freight processing through the terminal.

Key benefits

Live tracking

Real-time information is available online 24/7, with scanning technology linked directly to tracking updates displayed on our website, showing where your freight is and when it’s ready for collection.

Greater visibility

With access to live shipment information, our terminal team can monitor each shipment and prepare freight for flight departure,  reducing the risk of shipments being delayed or mishandled.

Safer operations

Fit for uplift checks, secondary dangerous goods checks and live scanning of freight as it moves through the facility enhances existing safety measures.

Sustainability improvements

Shifting to a digital solution means better accuracy and less paper with every uplift. Removing paper helps us reduce waste and improve our carbon footprint in line with the Qantas Group  Climate Action Plan.
