Pet crates

Best mates deserve the best crates. Selecting the right crate isn’t just about making sure your pet is safe, but that they’re happy and comfortable too.

If you’ve already booked your pet to travel on our domestic network, you'll need an IATA-approved crate. Bookings don't include a crate as they need to be purchased separately if required. Contact us if you wish to purchase a crate from us.

To give your pet time to get accustomed with their crate before flying, collect this from the domestic freight terminal that you’ll be lodging from at least 24 hours before departure. When doing so, please leave your furry friend at home.

Already have a crate and ready to book? Simply click on the button below and complete all required fields.

Choosing the right crate

Note that measurements A, B, C and D for determining the dimensions must relate to the largest animal. For more details on pet crate requirements, including information on multiple pets in the same crate, visit the IATA website or our pet travel FAQs

Just like all other air freight items, how much your pet weighs as well as the size of the crate will determine the cost.

Crates for brachycephalic breeds

As brachycephalic pets are booked through pet travel specialists, they will also provide you with the crate you need for your pet’s travel. These breed types require larger crates than other pets of similar size due to their compromised respiratory systems. We recommend that these breeds travel in a crate that is a minimum of 10% larger than the standard IATA-approved crate.

Crate sizes and prices

All our crates are made in Australia and can be purchased from all of our major domestic ports. We do not offer crates for hire, but many pet travel specialists offer this service if preferred.

The below sizes are available for purchase at our domestic terminals in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart, Gold Coast (Coolangatta), Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Townsville.
