With dedicated waiting areas at most of our major ground handling facilities, and a team of specialist handling staff, you can be assured your pet or animal will receive the highest level of care when travelling with Qantas.

We offer a range of animal transport services to best suit you and your furry friend’s needs. So, whether you intend on flying with your pet, or you're booking a separate flight for them on their own, you need look no further.

First time sending a pet for air travel? Our pet travel FAQs may also be helpful before you get started.

Day old chicks, zoo animals, horses, cattle and sheep are classified as special movements. Visit our special movements page for more information on how you can book a shipment for these types of animals.

Travel on the same flight as your pet

We know your pet is a big part of your family, so why not bring them with you on your next journey? Our domestic, accompanied pet service means you can travel on the same Qantas flight together.

Arrange travel for your pet or animal, on their own

Booking your pet or animal’s domestic flight with Qantas is easy using our online booking platform. There are several ways you can best prepare your animal for their journey, we've created a domestic pet travel section for you to reference.

International travel

To ensure compliance, there are a few more steps involved in organising international travel for animals. Check out this travel information and our FAQs to find out how you can prepare for your animal’s overseas flight.

We strongly recommend using a specialised animal transportation company for international travel. They can help ensure compliance with origin, transit point and destination quarantine requirements, vet checks and appropriate containers for shipping your pet.

If you'd prefer to arrange animal travel yourself, email this form to at least 10 days before flight departure.
