Overview
Steps to use the domestic Rate Estimator tool
Step 1: Access the Rate Estimator
- Log in to your My Freight account
- Navigate to the Rates section
- Click on the Rate Estimator option
Step 2: Enter shipment details
- Input your shipment details:
- Origin - where your shipment is coming from
- Destination - where your shipment is going
- Departure date - when you plan to ship.
Step 3: Select a commodity
- Choose the commodity that best represents your shipment. This helps in calculating the most accurate rate.
Step 4: Provide shipment dimensions
- Enter the dimensions of your shipment (number of pieces, length, width, and height)
- Indicate whether your shipment contains Dangerous Goods
- Select your preferred Service Type for the correct shipping product.
Step 5: Get your estimate
- Click the ‘Estimate’ button
- Your estimated shipping rates will appear below.
What you'll see
A clear breakdown of:
- Origin and destination
- Commodity and product/service
- Weight and charges
- Total cost
- Relevant surcharges
Important notes:
- Rates are customised based on your customer account, including any special rates or tiered discounts you may qualify for
- Only applicable rates will be displayed for your specific needs.
